About the Chisholm Real Estate Team

Direct Realty Ltd. was founded in 1975 by Omar, Patricia, and John Chisholm. Omar, John’s father, worked as a Broker with the company into the 1990s. John then took over as Broker of Record, a role he continues to hold today.

Jeff Chisholm, John’s son, grew up around the brokerage and became licensed in 2000. More than twenty-five years later, Jeff continues that family tradition, helping people buy and sell across the Quinte region while building the kind of local market knowledge that only comes with time and experience.

That depth of experience also made something clear. The information available to Realtors and consumers was often too broad, too delayed, or too disconnected to answer the questions people were actually asking. What is happening in this neighbourhood? What are homes like mine really selling for? Is this part of the market moving differently from the region as a whole?

Jeff’s interest in technology has always gone hand in hand with his work in real estate. Over time, that combination led to the creation of REintel, bringing together years of local market experience, a curiosity for what the data could reveal, and a desire to give Buyers and Sellers better answers.

REintel brings together live data from more than 60 MLS boards, tracks over 200,000 Home Price Index records updated monthly, and refreshes Bay of Quinte listings every 30 minutes. It was built to see the market with greater clarity, from the national picture right down to the communities, property types, and price ranges that matter to an individual Buyer or Seller.

REintel exists because we wanted something better than what was available: deeper Canadian data, more local detail, and answers we could stand behind when a client asked, “What is really happening here?”

That same thinking has shaped Direct Realty for more than fifty years.

For us, that means something. Every client experience becomes part of a reputation that was here before us and, we hope, will be here long after us. We take that responsibility seriously.
